It’s getting warm out, which means plenty of occasions for great outdoor photography at both our Mequon and Delafield studios. If you’re interested in getting your family portrait done outdoors, make sure to think about scheduling a morning or evening appointment when light is best. Last week I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable little guy. At only 6 days old, he was the perfect newborn subject-cute, cuddly and sleepy after a full tummy. E’s parents did a great job of getting him in at our Mequon photography studio right away. Newborn portraits are ideally done within the first week after birth when baby is still squishy and used to being curled up. Class of 2012 senior season is in full swing at both our Mequon and Delafield photography studios! We’re busy trying to keep up with all your great indoor and outdoor photo sessions and we’ve been shooting, editing and ordering like crazy! We can’t believe how fast the summer is flying by and just want to remind everyone in the Class of 2012 that school is starting soon, which means many yearbook deadlines are fast approaching. This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph Kayleigh, one of our Class of 2012 senior models in Milwaukee. Kayleigh had the cutest outfits with great spring colors (and awesome makeup). I loved her sense of style and she had the sweetest personality to match. Even though the weather was still a wintry mess, we were able to pretend it was sunny with some fun, indoor, warm-weather looks. Kayleigh will be coming back in May for some more outdoor photography, and I can’t wait to shoot something more urban and (hopefully) green! There must have been something in the water 9 months ago, because Shoot the Moon has been photographing an awful lot of newborns this February-our biggest baby boom in years! On Location senior pictures have been a recent trend here at Shoot the Moon at both our Mequon and Delafield photography studios. If you’re interested in booking your senior portrait session and going on location, remember to reserve your slot as soon as possible, as prime lighting times are an important consideration when choosing outdoor photography. Also, keep in mind that having both indoor and outdoor images to choose from adds a nice variety to your senior portrait session. If your interested in heading on location for your shoot, consider booking our 90-minute Contemporary session to allow for both indoor and outdoor fun. Additionally, if you’re interested in going somewhere but don’t have a location in mind, simply inquire when you call to book-we have our own favorite spots that we’ll absolutely recommend. We’re loving having our senior models back for their second model sessions of the year! Our Mequon and Delafield photography studios have transformed right along with the seasons, and we’ve got fresh ideas and green fields all around. If you’re lucky enough to adventure with us into our Mequon fields for some fun outdoor photography be prepared to wade through our sea of ever-growing grasses (and secure all cell phones that may decide to go rogue amongst the flowers). Second model sessions also mean it’s time to schedule your appointment! Class of 2011 Seniors: call to schedule your sessions as soon as possible in order to make yearbook deadlines and secure spots that correspond to your summer activities- scheduling early allows for prime photography slots as well as a stress free experience later on.
