It’s getting warm out, which means plenty of occasions for great outdoor photography at both our Mequon and Delafield studios. If you’re interested in getting your family portrait done outdoors, make sure to think about scheduling a morning or evening appointment when light is best. Shoot the Moon is currently booking well into June for our next available evening appointments, so be sure to schedule your next session as soon as possible if you’re looking for something later in the day. Day 2: Custom Magnets
Whenever our clients get to choose their favorite freebies from our special gift basket, they always choose these adorable magnets first. Customized with your favorite images from your session, magnets are another fun way to display memories in your home or office. Our clients love to collect them from each session, and over the years have an array of images from different ages proudly displayed on their fridge. Each month, Shoot the Moon is fortunate enough to work with Milwaukee’s Metroparent Magazine photographing Milwaukee area kids for the cover. For years we’ve been able to work with great babies, toddlers and kids in order to provide Metroparent with unique covers each month. Meeting these kids is not only a great experience for us as photographers, but seeing the children and their parents so excited that they’ll be on the cover of a publication distributed throughout southeastern Wisconsin is a feeling of contagious excitement. So thank you, Metroparent Magazine for working with us, it’s been an exciting and rewarding journey- we can’t wait for more great cover shoots in 2012!

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable little guy. At only 6 days old, he was the perfect newborn subject-cute, cuddly and sleepy after a full tummy. E’s parents did a great job of getting him in at our Mequon photography studio right away. Newborn portraits are ideally done within the first week after birth when baby is still squishy and used to being curled up.
