Each month, Shoot the Moon is fortunate enough to work with Milwaukee’s Metroparent Magazine photographing Milwaukee area kids for the cover. For years we’ve been able to work with great babies, toddlers and kids in order to provide Metroparent with unique covers each month. Meeting these kids is not only a great experience for us as photographers, but seeing the children and their parents so excited that they’ll be on the cover of a publication distributed throughout southeastern Wisconsin is a feeling of contagious excitement. So thank you, Metroparent Magazine for working with us, it’s been an exciting and rewarding journey- we can’t wait for more great cover shoots in 2012!

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable little guy. At only 6 days old, he was the perfect newborn subject-cute, cuddly and sleepy after a full tummy. E’s parents did a great job of getting him in at our Mequon photography studio right away. Newborn portraits are ideally done within the first week after birth when baby is still squishy and used to being curled up. There must have been something in the water 9 months ago, because Shoot the Moon has been photographing an awful lot of newborns this February-our biggest baby boom in years! I met this gorgeous couple two years ago while photographing their beautiful Milwaukee wedding, and was so excited to be able to be their family photographer with their new little baby girl! Everyone was surprised by her platinum blonde hair, and tons of it! Welcome to the world, Little A. I’m excited to watch you grow.
Little Miss M came to our brand new
Mequon Photography studio for a portrait session with her family today! I met Miss M when she was only a newborn and I took her portrait with her dad! Now she is all grown up (age 3!) and was so much fun! Guess what? She also has a new baby sister, Miss I, whom we also photographed at the family portrait session today! Thank you for lots of giggles and fun today. I enjoyed sharing Pez with you too.
