First I was able to photography Aubrey. I’ll nickname her Aubrey Hepburn. She came in on her birthday for a fun session at Shoot the Moon Photography. Happy birthday! We are glad you shared it with us!
Second, we photographed a Shoot the Moon class of 2010 model, Ali. Ali had really great clothes and was super fun to photograph. Ali and Aubrey were both treated to makeup and hair by Alyssa at DeRiah Salon and Spa (www.deriahsalon.com) in Cedarburg.
At the end of the Oscars last night, they showed some up and coming films that will be released in 2009. One that I am particularly looking forward to is 500 Days of Summer. Check out the trailer!

I love Model Season! Samantha from Greenfield High School was an awesome model! Doing portraits for seniors with great personalities and adorable clothes is always a blast, I can’t wait to see Samantha again in May! Check out a few of my favorites from the session.
Ellie is another model for Shoot the Moon. Ellie attends Cedarburg High School and was so much fun to work with for her senior portraits! Ellie let us totally play and try fun, new techniques and modeled a new vintage hat we had. So very cool!

Photographers run in small circles, and often know each other and gain inspiration from other photographer’s work. One group of photographers I admire is TriCoast. They just redid their blog and for the first 20 that visited their new blog were entered to win a set of radio poppers from their camera bag! Sweet contest! I was #9. Keep your fingers crossed. I’m always looking for ways to accent my plain jeans and a t-shirt look. You know, the grocery shopping, errand running, late-for-class outfit that just seems to pull itself out of your closet. One of my favorite accessories to add is a colorful, textured scarf. From bright yellow to white and black plaid, scarves give something boring and easy, thought and style. Don’t think you need to spend $90 on a nice scarf from Bloomingdales. Some of my favorite places to go to find these amazing and affordable scarves are H&M, Forever21 and Fred. This accessory is also a great way to add that “something” to your portraits!
