How I Spent My Valentine's Weekend.

It seems like you’re either one of those people who hates Valentine’s Day or loves it…but I like to think of myself as the happy medium. While it often gets a bad wrap for being an unnecessary hallmark holiday created only to remind the single that they are, the dating that their partner is less than the perfect romantic, and the long since married that it’s that time of year to buy their significant other a bag of Hershey’s kisses and a new pack of socks, I try to always look on the bright side of things. (Yes, I realize you’re probably laughing right now if you know me…Ang? Look on the bright side? Good one.) But I’m talking about Valentine’s Day! My point is, that I think you’re never truly without a Valentine. Whether it be your kids, students, nieces and nephews, a good friend, or that dreamy blast from the past stud sitting in a framed picture on your desk….you’re NEVER without a valentine. My perfect recipe for Valentine’s weekend, a feel good flick, a good friend, and Cheesecake Factory’s February feature….Red Velvet! The movie was full of classy ladies and several steamy studs, and the cheesecake delicious. Check out the link below for a sneak peak of Valentine’s Day!

Milwaukee Domes: A fun family day in the middle of winter!

This past weekend I went to the Milwaukee Domes….I haven’t been there in ages. It was just like I remembered them. The tropical dome was hot and muggy…no sun though…how I wish it was warm and sunny! The trains were running and they had little villages set up around the way. There were a ton of people just hanging out in there reading. It smelled so fresh and clean!

It didn’t take long to go through all 3 domes but it was a great afternoon! If you haven’t been there in awhile, its worth the trip for a few hours! Check it out at:  http://www.county.milwaukee.gov/MitchellParkConserva10116.htm

Sounds like a FUN little day trip and get into the warmth for a little bit!

Places, Braces, and Smiling Faces!

We love to adorn local businesses with our Shoot the Moon photography.  I had the pleasure of hanging our photographs at Lake Country Orthodontics in Oconomowoc. Let’s face it, going to the orthodontist is not necessarily something we look forward to doing.  With that said, when I walked into Lake Country Orthodontics, I didn’t want to leave.  The waiting room contains  video games to keep you busy and ultra leather chairs to keep you comfortable. Then, take a walk back to the patients room, it resembles a spa – it’s peaceful and serene with large windows overlooking the Highlands of Olympia Ski Hill, Visit their website at http://www.lakecountrybraces.com/ They are also on facebook, become a fan!

Coming soon to a case near me: iPad

Okay..  I love my iPhone.  I live for apps.  I love my mac computers. I love walking into the Apple store.  Everyone is so helpful, and nice and cute in their matching, witty Tshirts.  I am hugely excited for the iPad.   It will be my “portable” computer/ebook reader/movie machine while I travel and will help keep me connected.  You can bet I will be in line (early) at the apple store the day they are released!

So my birthday is this month (the 26th!) and today in the mail I got all kinds of little birthday goodies.  $10 gift certificate for Victoria’s Secret (new jammies here I come), Free birthday drink at Starbucks (non-fat with whip mocha anyone?)  I also got a $20 gift certificate for Vera Bradley!  How sweet is it that they spoil their peeps!  I go into the store and right in front of me is a darling little “Mini Laptop Case”.

hmmmm…..

I go to the apple store, hop on the computer and find out the specs of my soon-to-be-new iPad and voila!  Perfect Fit.

This now sits on my desk waiting for its new little buddy, arriving in approximately mid-to-late March!

Check it out!
